Desription

The tool has an open brass frame and multiple adjustments, and the tool slide bears the mark, I WYKE.

Crom Vol. 2 discusses this engine on pp. 466-467, illustrated in figs. 923-924. Trade catalogues of the time show similar engines, specifically Wyke's catalogue which is shown in Plate 60 (Crom Vol. 2, fig. 262.)

Note: only the tool slide is marked Wyke but the machine is similar to others by Wyke.
