Decorated Bronze Chamber Clock with Double Foliot

Gilt chapter ring with central alarm disc and set on an engraved surround decorated with sprays of cherry blossoms. The posted iron movement has a two-sided crown wheel for the verge escapement with two foliots brought in and out of action by the strike train, outside count wheel cut for Japanese hours. The case is opulently decorated with sprays of blossoms, surmounted by the bell with decorative securing nut, on a red lacquered pyramid standing case decorated with chrysanthemums and leaf scrolls, the hood with gilt-brass corners and fitted with gilt decorated gauze on the sides and top.
