Dutch Table Clock

An extraordinary small table clock with self strike on the hour. The gilt-brass case has four bun feet, hipped base, and sides which are very finely engraved with flowers. The back is engraved with foliate, tulips and the date, 1723. The top has a broken pediment and a hipped roof surmounted by vase finials. Dial with foliate engraved mask and center. One pierced iron hand. The brass frame movement has one hammer, one bell, verge escapement and short pendulum.
