Eight-Day Dachluhr

Lechner, Joseph in Pesten

Vienna, circa 1840

Desription

An elegant and attractive mahogany cased dachluhr. The case, of typical form, has fine quality veneers and boxwood edge stringing. The week-duration movement is signed Lechner Jozsef, Pesten by a
stamp on the backplate. This is most unusual as very few Viennese clock movements were signed. Movement contains fine quality wheel work, a Graham deadbeat escapement and a wood rod pendulum with a large brass bob.
