Favrile Pottery

Inspired by contemporary French ceramics, Tiffany introduced his so-called line of Favrile pottery around the turn of the 20th century. Once again, he turned to nature for inspiration. His pottery vases often came in the form of wildflowers, water plants, or vegetables. They were usually cast in molds, and they derived their individuality from the glazes. Tiffany art pottery is very rare today.
