French Industrial Clock in the Form of a Paddle Wheel

A very rare French industrial clock in the form of a paddle wheel. The large paddle wheel turns, while engaging the pistons of the engine. Gilt-bronze case has realistic details, with red marble base, upon which sits the blued-steel platform with crosshatch pattern. Twin steel housings hold an aneroid barometer and round thermometer, with realistic brass “brickwork” and rivets. Copper tubes accent the case. The paddles are wood. An exceptional example of a lifelike replica of Industrial Age machinery.
