Lacquer dial with central alarm disc and set on a finely engraved foliate surround within a border of clouds, iron posted movement with double verge crown wheels for the verge escapement and double foliots brought in and out of action by the strike train, outside countwheel cut for Japanese hours, the bronze case decorated on all sides with finely engraved flowers within similar borders, the interior of the side doors with flower sprays, outswept base, the whole surmounted by the bell fixed by a decorative nut forming a finial, on a red and black lacquered wall bracket with hood.
