Musical and Automata Mantel Clock for the Spanish Market

A fine mahogany quarter-chiming mantel clock. The brass, enameled and painted dial is signed, Higgs, y Diego Evans Londres, with subsidiary dial for selection of one of three selections. The subsidiary dial on the left for chime/silent reads, Musica and Silencio. Painted scene in the arch depicts a red barn with thatched roof and door which swings open to reveal a cuckoo sounding the hour, eight-day time, strike and quarter chime on eight bells. The bellows are in the base for cuckoo sound. Pull quarter repeat on command.
