Regulator Wall Clock, No. 13
Self Winding Clock Co.
New York, New York, circa 1887
Desription
This time-only wall clock has an electrically wound movement with a meter long pendulum. It is enclosed in a very unusual and highly stylized oak case with fan carvings and a spindle top. This is a rare early example of a commercial regulator relying on battery electrical power to rewind the mechanism.
