If two clocks show different times how do you know which one is correct? Only if a third clock confirms one of the times can you be certain.
The T-3 Master Clock System consists of three separate clock units. Each one is equipped with a quartz-crystal oscillator and all electronic dividers. One of the clocks is the control unit, “time unit C”, which compares the results of the three clocks. If one of those units shows a variance, it is automatically switched off. The system was synchronized at one second intervals with the time signal of the observatory, Prangins Geneve. This was one of the most accurate clocks of its time.
Local time for seven different cities is displayed on seven small dials. An extremely rare timepiece.
